For as long as I can remember I’ve been obsessed with being a voice.

First, as a church choir kid. Then as a middle school saxophone player. Later in high school as a spoken word poet. In adulthood I stepped into the world as a preacher, an educator, and then as an independent music artist.

There I encountered the problem of sustainability. It just became so difficult to actually get to work. How could I be a voice, create authentically with integrity, and survive?

I began to solve this problem for myself only by helping other people solve their problems, amplifying their voices with Peace and Power Media.

Along the way I learned I’d be incomplete if I were solely a music artist without pouring into folks who don’t have the equipment or access I do. I’d be incomplete if I were solely building worlds for clients and curating experiences for communities without creating worlds of my own. And all of that would be incomplete if I weren’t saying and doing something about what’s happening in the world.

My way of being a voice is profoundly layered and complex.

So my vision has turned toward structure. Think of Jaÿ-Z and Roc-A-Fella. Or Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions. Ava DuVernay and ARRAY. Visionaries who resolve the tension between being executive and being creative.

We are in a season of chaos. We’re also in a season of renewal.

It’s time to go to work.

If you're an artist or creative — start here.
If you're a collaborator — see the work.
If you’re a builderhere's the vision.
